Carters sizing question

So I've noticed that with some of the Carters clothing I've purchased that the sizes go NB, 3 mos, 6 mos, and so on. Does the 3 mos mean 0-3 mos or 3-6 mos? Should I post this on the babies board?

    3-6 month... carters tend to run for us true to actually age/size

    gerbers onesies are tiny for the age

    Henry can't fit into his 3 month clothes, but he can fit in his 0-3 as well as NB.  Maybe 3 months is in the middle of 0-3 and 3-6?

    3 mos means "up to 3 months". An average-sized baby will grow out of them around 3 mos.

    Also, the one pieces run smaller than the separates. So if your baby was in 6 month separates, a 6 month sleeper could be snug.

    basically just means the next size up after they stop fitting into NB. FYI, Carters and Gymboree run a little large, so they will fit into the size for a long time. Carters is wonderful and holds up well.

    I also noticed how small gerber onesies are in comparison to carters..I held them up to each other yesterday in the nb size and the caters are WAY bigger.
