    This actually really pisses me off.

    I felt so sick to my stomach when I saw the boy wasn't in the balloon...I had the worst feeling that he had fallen out after it took off, before the helicopters caught sight of it.  I felt so bad for them all afternoon, dreading to hear the news that they found his body.  I REALLY hoped it was a situation where the boy shouldn't have been playing with the balloon, set it off, got scared and hid.

    What the fvck.  What awful, awful, awful parents.

    I saw the bill for one NG helicopter flight from PA to WV frm DHs week away it was 40k. Can you imagine what that search cost the NG???

    They should be charged for all of it along with criminal charges. How could they be so dumb to think the kid wouldn't tell.

    this is exactly what I was thinking. I'm sure there a million people in the world who were truly terrified for the little boy and his family. people are just sick.

    How could someone do this?  Gah I know there are F-ed up people out there but this is just ridiculous.

    I bet the search etc cost way way over 250K.  Think about how many people and how many extra reinforcements they called in over this.  Just sickening.

    They were actually on the show TWICE. I've seen a total of about 5 episodes of Wife Swap and they were on two of them. The thing that made me give this whole thing the side-eye is that the parents personally called a local news station about it, like they wanted to make sure this made the news.

    They're whackjobs and I agree that they should have to pay for any and all costs associated with this stunt. Disgusting.
