in Pregnant after a Loss

Colposcopy while pregnant?  I just got a call from doctor today.  Pap shows high grade cells again so they are doing a colposcopy on Monday at my apt.  If you had one...did they do a biopsy? What was it like? Any discomfort?

I'm SO scared!

    i'm sorry..i have no idea what that is...everything will be fine though i'm sure...sorry you have to go through something scary though

    Nothing to be scared of..colposcopy is a piece of cake.  I recommend taking tylenol before hand.  Yes, I had a biopsy done..basically they numb the area with lidocaine (little burning sensation) and then insert a small biospy tool into the cervix and remove piece of tissue.  Your dr. might also place some sutures too.  As far as discomfort: some bleeding, light cramping (that is why I would rec the tylenol 1-2 hrs before the procedure).  Colposcopy takes maybe 5-10 minutes.
