I get asked a lot why I don't breastfeed the twins. It just wasn't happening for us....oh well we tried and I pumped as much as I could but it just went away.
Every mom and every pregnancy is different. My mom had enough milk to feed a city when I was born and did not produce any when my brother was born.
I felt similar last week when some nosey rude women came up to me when I was botte feeding L in the mall and started ranting about the benefits of BFing and pretty much lecturing me. I didn't even bother to tell her it was EBM and that I EBF, it was none of her damn business. I simply said that the benefits of BFing are well known and that people make personal decisions for various reasons that did not need to be discussed with strangers in public. I probably had a b!tchy tone in my voice as well because I was shocked & pissed at her nerve!

::whispers:: Nobody cares as much as you do about how you feed your child.
ETA: After reading the post above this one, maybe they do. Then you better change your sign OP, because the LCs will tell you "demand and supply! demand and supply!" and it will still be your fault.

How about stop caring about what others think. You are feeding your child, big effing deal. I'm bitter over my breastfeeding experience as well but I don't really care if somebody thinks I'm selfish or not for stopping.

Ahh....thank you.

you can never win - whatEVER you do someone will have a problem with it. first MIL tried to tell me to give ds formula so he would gain weight - but on ebf he is huge. now she asks how he is sleeping and i say - good - and she says - well it would be even better if you gave a bottle of formula before bed. people should mind their own business and let the mom decide how to feed HER baby.
Unfortunately, the NIP siggys seem to be misconstrued as judging. As another poster stated, the intent was to normalize BFing WITHOUT placing judgment on formula feeding moms- if you scroll back (on the AP board) you'll see it was actually done with kindness in mind- support for BFing moms without running around screaming, "Breast is BEST!!!".
Really, I don't care how you feed your child. I don't judge pictures of moms giving a bottle- I've got pictures of Em taking a bottle, too.
If somebody threw a blanket over you or asked you to go to another room to formula feed your child, I'd be upset over that as well. And I would also be outraged for you if somebody walked up to you and said, "breast is best!"

Or I developed mastitis and it killed my supply so now I pump and only get 4oz a day which is not enough to feed my child!!
