I had heard a few ladies mention that their stuff runs really small.
It got really cold here so I just ran out to get a few long sleeved side snap undershirts and onesies to use until the umbilical stump falls off.
I didn't get the newborn size, I got the next size up which I believe is 8-12 lbs. LO was estimated at 7.10 the other day... so before I wash it, do you think this size will be okay for the first week or so?
TIA!
Re: Gerber clothing sizing
Yep, absolutely. It'll be ok if things are a little big too. Your LO doesn't have to be a fashion king/queen straight out of the womb.
Edit: I don't really know what I was thinking when I wrote this. I blame it on lack of sleep last night and the crazy pills I took this morning.
seriously super-duper small. i had a 0-3 onesie (which i think is the 8-12 lbs one you mentioned), and tried to put li'l i in it at about 10 days... yeah, no. didn't even come close to snapping. she was 8.9 at birth.
if you have this size, put LO in it right away so it doesn't go to waste.
Gerber sizes are so wrong.
DD is 11lbs 6oz 23.5in and I use 6-9 months long sleeve onesie's on her. She could almost go to the next size up!
The Gerber 0-3 month sleepers fit DD pretty good right now...the onesies do run a little small. She is still wearing some 0-3 month, but the 3-6 month size fits better. I'm sure that you will be fine! The long sleeved side snap onesies ROCK!

Okay great... I will stick with what I have. I was near a Target today which is why I ended up with Gerber not Carters... hopefully I won't give birth to a Thanksgiving turkey and he will fit into the t-shirts I bought for a week :-)
