Hey girls!
Sorry I couldn't update earlier - I have hardly been home since our u/s yesterday afternoon! Anyway, the baby was just wiggling away!!! He/she was measuring at 10w6d and the hb was 171bpm. The sonographer said everything looked great. Yay!!!
So, here's the big question......do you think it's "safe" to tell our friends? Our good friends and family know, but we have not told many people. My DH keeps saying that he thought it was a "rule" to wait until 12 wks. I feel pretty safe in telling people now - we are 11w1d and have seen the hb 3 times. My OB said we really have much less than a 1% chance of m/cing now. I'm not going to jinx anything by telling, right? My DH has already told his work. I am not planning on telling work until 14-18 wks (however long I can hide it). I would just like to tell our friends though because I'm tired of the pitiful stares toward the "poor IF couple." So, what do you think???

I think it is safe to tell. We would have told at 11 weeks but we ended up having a cvs at 12 weeks so we decided to wait until then so we could tell everyone the genders as well.

It's been a long journey. TTC since 9/06. multiple IUI's and IVF's and 4 m/c's. IVF#3 = BFP, twins, induced at 34w6d due to baby b passing away (no explanation). Delivered on 35w1d, Baby A - baby girl, and Baby B - baby boy, our little angel.

After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!

My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

First off - woohooo!! As for when to tell people - it's totally up to you. If you feel comfortable now, do it now! If you want to wait, that's fine too. I outed us on FB after our NT scan, and told work around that time too. Enjoy!

we didn't everyone until we were at 13 weeks. we had our close-knit family/friends know all the way through our cycle (about 10 people & their spouses). but otherwise, at 13 weeks we announced it via email & facebook. it was very exciting.
TTC #1 since 2007. Dx: Unexplained infertility. 4 IUIs in 2008 = BFN. IVF #1 07/09. DD #1 born April 2010 (40w5d).
TTC #2 since 2011. Dx: Endometriosis and hypothyroidism. 2 FETs in 2012, BFP 6/12 but m/c @ 7 weeks. IVF #2 06/13. DD #2 born March 2014 (40w1d).
