How do you disinfect toys?

I have organic wipes that I use for the big items.  Do you use bleach or vinegar for all the little toys?  Or something else?

    I am embarrased to say this but I haven't done this in SO long.  I used to wash them in warm soapy water when my son was really little but haven't done that in I don't know how long.  Bad bad Mommy!!  I guess I know what I'll be doing tonight...lol.

    Oh, and of course these were all little toys and ones that were plastic.  Doubt I can really do it now with his bigger stuff.

    You're not a bad mommy!  I honestly can't remember the last time I did it, either.  But...we just had a playgroup here with 5 other toddlers, and there was a lot of coughing and we're flying home tomorrow so I am trying to be proactive :)  I probably will disinfect more this winter...but I'm sure by the spring I'll be a slacker again!

    Kim - I'm planning to fill the sink with hot water and soak them.  How much vinegar would you think?  I never know how much when I do things like this....

    I usually do a 50/50 mix in a spray bottle. If they are hard plastic toys I wipe them off, stuffed toys I just let it dry

    I do a bleach and water mix for the balls in our play pit and then a 50/50 vinegar water mix for the rest!

    At Pre-K we used a little bit of bleach and water.  I always wore gloves when we were doing the heavy duty cleaning.  We would soak the toys for awhile then rinse them off really good.  We would wash the bins out really good too.  We laid them out on tables and on beach blankets to dry.  We did this in rooms the kids weren't in. We did this a couple of times a year (before breaks, end of year, or if a ton of kids were sick).
