Since birth, we could never get Sophia to go to bed before 11:00...and there were several nights when she didn't fall asleep until midnight. She was VERY active in my tummy between 10-1am when I was pregnant with her, so this really wasn't a shocker.
We recently started a new bed time routine which is at 9pm she gets a bath, lotioned up, load up the Desitin, fresh diaper, jammies, put her in her SwaddleMe (God send!), bottle and if she isn't already asleep by the time she finishes her bottle then we rock for a few minutes and she's out like a light.
Success! Since we started this she is also sleeping really well, getting better each night. She went down at about 9:30 last night, slept till 5:30 for a bottle and is just now starting to stir around ready to eat again. I have to wake her up though, gotta get her ready to drop off at SIL's...hate doing that!
I'm just so excited about this!
Re: Night time routine/ritual success!
Yay for establishing a routine. Your routine is almost the exact same as ours!!! We start at 9 every night with a bath followed by lotion, fresh diaper, story time, bottle, swaddle and then off to bed.
I couldn't agree more with the SwaddleMe, it has been such a life saver. Austin absolutely LOVES his. It usually calms him down instantly.
You are lucky that she is sleeping through the night. Austin is still getting up every 2-3 hours. I have no idea when he will start sleeping for more than 3 hours at a time

I'm jealous of your success!!!
We try the same routine but haven't got it done just yet. Last night we had to alter the routine a bit since Mckenna's sick. She's back to only sleeping 4-5 hours at most, but my body is getting used to it.
Yay for you ladies whose babes are sleeping through the night!

Congrats!!! we've had some successful nights. I start a little earlier around 8pm with a warm bath (not her head) only her body, I let the warm water run so she relaxes the stress of the day. Then I give her an nice chamomile lotion massage, clean diaper, pjs, bottle and then I sing a few lullabies while I rock her.
Thanks for reminding me about the SwaddleMe, I totall forgot about it, I had it in the closet and had never used it. I just put her down, she was tired early so I started the routine early and I used the SwaddleMe, let see how it goes tonight.
This! When I am sleep deprived and pulling my hair out I need you guys to tell me what to do!
