Sophie and I both love water painting. I just give her a bunch of wet-ish sponges, and let her go to town on the walls.
There is no clean up, and when the paint is wet, it looks a different color, you know? She gets such a kick out of it, and the no-mess aspect is the most awesome thing ever.

^^That is a great idea!
Do you have a big window like a patio door? We have been having fun with Crayola window markers and window crayons. They show up really well on the glass and are super easy to clean up. He loves scribbling on the windows and asks me to draw ducks and frogs.
Also, yesterday I got out a stash of stickers and let him stick them on a cardboard box. Fun times for almost an hour.
Playdough! Coloring, painting...they have some really cool water paint books that you can get at target. You paint the page with water and the colors show up.
Halloween craft ideas
Paint small or large paper plate orange. You cut out 2 large triangles and 1 smaller one and a pumpkin mouth out of construction paper (per child) then have them place two triangles for eyes, one for the nose and the mouth. You can also cut out a brown stem for the top to make it look more like one.
The spider is easy. Use black construction paper and cut a small circle and then some strips. Fan fold the strips and have your kids glue them on the back and then put googly eyes on them!
You can make handprint ghosts with white paint on black paper too.
Here is sample of what my DS has done for Halloween decorations so far.

Well, I've heard on the nest that putting objects in a pillowcase and pulling them out is a craft. LOL.
For reals though, check out this clicky link.
You beat me to the punch!! Love you for having the link

Ahahahahahahahahahaaahhahaha! Such a classic

Does she use actual paint on the walls? Bare walls? Just curious how that works.
We're going to buy a pumpkin for her to paint on this week. We have carving ones but I'd like to get one for her to decorate on her own.

NO, no, no. Just water.
Water makes the already painted wall look darker. So she has "artwork" and when it dries, there's nothing to clean.
