Babies: 9 - 12 Months

I love all the compliments!

I've started making P's baby food, and I've been talking about it with my friends and co-workers.  Everyone is in awe that I'm doing this, and I'm getting all kinds of compliments about it!  I'm kind of shocked that everyone is so impressed, but I love it too!  Hoorah for all of us baby-food-making-moms!!

  • I find it funny that others think it is above and beyond as well.

  • Crap, you just reminded me that I made a potato for M and its been sitting in the fridge for two days. I guess. I'll be eating that for dinner myself....

So yes, its impressive that you take the time, effort, and frame of mind to make the baby food.

  • I'm doing it too and am also shocked when people are impressed. It really is so easy! Just steam/bake, puree and freeze! I really am just doing it for the cost/convenience factor...

  • At first I thought ILs would think I'm just being cheap but now that SIL#2 is doing it as well they think it's great.  I love how that works.

Daycare love seeing what I send for DS each day and comment on all the fresh veggies. They want me to be their mom - to which I replied, yeah, DS gets the veggies, DH and I get the frozen pizza. :)

It's cuz we're lazy.  Store-bought baby food is too cheap for me to consider making it at home.  $1 for a two-pack?  Yeah, I'll shell out for that.  I'm impressed by the effort.
