2nd Trimester

2nd+ time moms who felt movement early...

Was the movement consistent? I have been feeling this baby since 12 weeks, and my OB said that was not uncommon with a second (or greater) pregnancy, but not to be alarmed if I went a week or more without feeling anything. Well, because I'm a worrywart, I didn't listen and now I'm nervous. I'm 16 weeks now and haven't felt him move in almost a week and now I'm nervous. Has this happened to anyone else?

  • Movement wasn't consistent until around 20 weeks for me.  Before that it once only every once and a while with the occasional marathon moving session.  Don't be nervous - it's still too early!

  • I felt movement at 14w and then didn't feel any for a couple weeks and all was fine. My doctor did have me come in so they could listen via doppler to make sure so if you're going to worry about it I'd just go ahead and call to get seen.
  • Yes, I felt the baby a lot between 15-16 weeks and then I don't think I felt her again until closer to 19-20 weeks.  It made me really nervous, but I just kept reminding myself that she was still too little to feel her consistently.

  • I felt the baby a lot this Saturday-Monday, but nothing that I was 100% was the baby yesterday.  I think it's normal, but I'd still worry because that's what I do.
  • Yes, it's not uncommon to feel movement early and then not everyday until you are about 20 weeks.
  • I could have written this post! I was feeling flutters last week and then the past few days, nothing. I have been worrying too.
