What happens when you send husband to grocery store...

You end up with 10 totinos pizzas, a box of donuts, 2 cans of pringles, 6 boxes of cereal, chicken nuggets. Oh I should give him credit for the healthy things he got like the grapes, bananas, and whole wheat pasta. But seriously? I appreciate that he went but he shops like a twelve year old.

10 totino's? Were they have a 10 items for 10 dollar special? Those are my favorite specials... it drives DH nuts. I never resist them. We ended up with 10 boxes of cake mix last fall, that I still am working through....

bwahahaha. my DH always comes back with 10 cans of beef a roni, mac and cheese, and cereal. and occasinally ingredients to bake something, like the pumpkin pie i am munching on currently

Ugh I wish my husband did that! If I send my husband for grilled cheese ingredients, he will come home with extra sharp cheddar, low sodium tomato soup and most likely the totally wrong bread. And he has no clue until I point it out! I once sent him for pickles and I got pickles all right, a huge jar of sugar free sweets. That's right, ladies. Sugar free sweet pickles. He does try though.

DH would come back with what I ask for, but it would seriously take him an hour(the grocery store is a mile away). DH is the most inefficient shopper ever. He'll wander over to the fruit section, pick up some apples, walk over to the opposite side of the store to get cheese, go BACK to the produce section to get bananas, go BACK to the opposite side to get eggs, etc. Drives me nuts. And he hates lists, so that just makes it even worse.

At least he'll go to the store. Mine prefers to complain about what I buy and offers no solutions. I even tell him to write me a list of what he wants and I get told I don't need anything.

Mine will get everything on the list but buy weird brands.

I'm not sure if all the grocery stores in the country have them but one grocery store close to us carries the store generic brand but then a generic generic brand meant for WIC/foodstamps, etc. milk, other things like that.

There's nothing wrong with those I just tend to either buy the store version or whatever is on sale so he comes home with these cans with super generic writing on them and weird off-brand cat litter and things that he's never seen me purchase so I have no idea why he gravitates toward those.

But then he adds to the list things like sour mix for whiskey sours, beer, tries some new brand of vodka, etc. or cookies will be on sale and he'll buy like five boxes and they go stale right away.

At least they try...

My husband just went to the store to get heavy whipping cream because I made a little real whipped cream last week and he was in awe. Now he wants me to make it again. lol
