I had my 34 week OB appointment today. I see all the doctors in my practice. This was my first meeting with this doctor (I didn't get a great vibe about him in the first place, but whatever). I have been having some menstrual like cramps, so when the doctor asked if I had any questions, I asked about them. I said "I've been having some cramps. I don't think I could really time them if I tried... it just is pretty consistent menstrual like cramps." To which he said, "Oh, yeah, that's normal. But you should be cognitive of your weight... I don't like to yell at anyone about it... but you could end up keeping some of it with you..."
...He did not tell me what the cramps were from. Unless he was implying they were from my weight... but I don't think so. I'm annoyed by his weight comment, but it just is what it is at this point. None of the doctors have shown any concern about my weight up until this point. Do you think I should try to talk to another doctor about my cramps? Or trust that, even though he asked me no questions about the cramping, everything is okay? Are any of you ladies experiencing this?
I am supposed to see this doctor next week, and the week after. Definitely not looking forward to seeing him again. I'm praying he's not on call when I go into labor!
Re: quiiick question.
I would talk to another Dr about them, they?could be?contractions. That's what the beginning of mine felt like.?
I would also request seeing a different Dr. If he's not going to answer your questions, it's no use for you to see him. GL!?
