Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Biter Biscuits?

The boxes say 9-10 months+ .  When did you start your baby on them?  My 6 month old eats cereal really well and loves to chew everything with her two new teeth.  And how about baby food in a jar?

Thanks! :o)

Re: Biter Biscuits?

  • K has had them for a couple of weeks now, only when in his high chair though.  He doesn't have any teeth.

  • Eh, I started Lil on them about 7 1/2 months...  She sucks on them and ends up breaking off pieces which she takes care of with her chewing action she learned.  I wouldn't do them with a 6 month old.  Maybe try Mum Mums.  They dissolve and Lillian loved them!  Much easier for her to eat than a biter biscuit and way less messy!  :)

I started jarred food with Lil at 4 months so if you havent' tried it yet I'd say start with stage 1 and work your way through each ingredient before jumping in with just any food because of the allergy concern.  Call your pedi to ask what food they reccommend you start with.

  • we did the earth best teething biscuits and he took off a big chunk and was choking...my DH had to fish it out of his mouth.  We are staying away from them until he is older.  I bought Mum Mums instead b/c they dissolve in the mouth.
