WWYD drama/vent/clicky poll

every year all of the granchildren on DHs side take pictures. Either around easter or christmas so they have their "dress up" clothes. All the kids wear coordinating clothes (the easter/holiday line from either childrens place, gymboree, crazy8) Not identicle just the same line so the patterns and colors are consistent

Obviously ive never had to buy these outfits but I ususally would go with one SIL or another to get theirs.

a little back story: DHs oldest sister is a little "spoiled" to put it nicely. While I love her dearly and she is one of the funnest people I know she is one of those people that easily get their feelings hurt then hold a grudge. she gets like this when she doesnt get her way. (picking retarants for family dinners, picking family outings, things like that.) Everyone always ends up giving in to what she wants.

so were at MILs last weekend and she says "oh..ive already ordered niece #1's dress for the pictures from gymboree. And bought nephew #1's outfit.

Never once did we discuss what line we were going to use. She just decided for everyone I guess. They very well could be the way it works every year, like i said its our first.

I actually like crazy8's line better AND its better priced. This would also be the outfit J will wear for his 6 month pics in December and will wear on christmas.

    why does it have to be from the same store? i would just check out the outfit she bought her DD and then find something cute for your son that will go well. I wouldn't worry about the brand. That seems silly.

    Do we have the same SIL?  

    Seriously, this is one thing that PISSES ME OFF!  I HATE when SIL makes all the decisions like as if she's the queen bee.  I usually either tell her something, or do what I want to do anyway.  

    In an effort to keep the peace, maybe you could send emails to ALL the SIL's and do a "vote".  Even though you're the newb, you should still have a say.

    Its kinda just been tradition that the kids match. Usually the prints from one store to the other vary (plaid vs. argyle, red and balck vs. red and green,  and so on)

    I certainly wouldn't buy an outfit that is pricey and won't be worn more than a few times if I didn't like it. I'd find something that matches and just say you didn't want to spend that much on one outfit.

    I would probably suck it up for this year.  But make it clear that you want input for the following pictures.

    This. Go along this year, but say something like "Store X has such cute holiday clothes - It would be fun to use them next year. Maybe next fall we can all decide together."
