staph infection...anyone experience this?

my lo has a staph infection on his inner thighs. he is on topical and oral anitbiotics. just curious if anyone has any experience with this. it is very wierd blistery things that pop up randomly out of nowhere. i still don't understand where it comes from.

    I've got no experience with this, but I just wanted to say sorry you are having to deal with this.  That blows.

    My LO contracted MRSA from the nursery at the hospital where she was born.  MRSA is a drug resistant staph infection.  I was terrified, but after 10 days of the strongest oral antibiotic that can be prescribed for a two week old and a month of applying a topical antibiotic three times a day she seems to be none worse the wear.

    A lot of doctors will downplay it, and I know that staph infections are common, but MRSA is very dangerous and I was scared to death.

    My LO doesnt have them, but my FI has been getting them his whole life!

    DD got a small infection on her face a few weeks ago (in combo w/ the yeast infection on her neck -ick!) anyway - we got oral antibiotics and it cleared up in 2 days.
