A question for those with H1N1 experience

How long did the fever generally last when your kids had it? Also, how did your child eat or drink?  We just got dx today and are on day 2 of fever...his throat hurts so bad that I cant get him to eat anything or do take his medicine.  I have a call in to the on-call doc, just waiting to hear back.

    Alissa has had it since Saturday. The nurse said it can hang on for 3-5 days. She's been eating and drinking fine. She had a mild sore throat on Sat but hasn't complained of it since.

    Can you get some motrin in him? Perhaps have him suck on a popsicle to sort of numb this throat a bit so he will take some motrin. That should help his throat.

    Hope he feels better soon!
