Yeah, I have always loved Micah and so has DH. DH's name is Benjamin, so I love the middle name. He thought it was kinda strange at first, but grew to love it.
But I'm getting a lot of comments like..."isn't that a girl's name?" It was a boy's name first!

That's actually the reason my dh vetoed the name. He went to school with a girl with that name, so he couldn't get past it being a 'girl name'. Oh, well.
eta: I personally like it as a boys' name.

Same here...i only know girls with this name.
I absolutely love it. Micah was on our list for #2 and 3, but I couldn't commit to another "M" name (our first is Miles). I wanted them all to start with different letters.
And, fwiw, I think it's ridiculous as a girl's name. LOL.
I've never known a girl named Micah. I think it's a boy's name!
Great name! I've known 1 girl and 1 boy named Micah, but I most readily associated it with the minor prophet Micah, who was, in fact, a dude.
Anyway, love the name.
Amen to that! This is why we love it so much. It was a boy's name first and I hate it as a girl's name. DH loves the Bible verse Micah 6:8. We used to read it together when we were dating, so it's special.

Even though I don't care for Micah, it definitely is a boy name because he's a male prophet who has his own book of the Bible! LOL! That is a great verse BTW!
