Signs of being tired?

I know that there are signs of being tired, but maybe I'm just not paying enough attention??? Anyone want to share what their LO does? DS will be happy and cooing one minute then switch to tired and smacking himself in the face the next.

Re: Signs of being tired?

  • With DS, I have to watch him really closely, but he'll start to "calm down." his arms and legs will relax and he'll stop looking crazily all over...focusing on one thing. Every once and a while he'll give me a yawn too. This phase is only a few minutes long, then he starts to get fussy. I really have to watch him.

  • DS will go from happy and smiling to screaming in about 2 seconds when he is overtired, so I try to watch before that happens. He'll yawn more, and be more content to just sit and look at his hands. When he is awake and actice his hands are going, his legs are kicking and he looks all over the place. It also usually happens within an hour and a half of eating, if I let him go too much longer we hit the danger zone of overtired, angry baby.
