hanging things above the crib

how did you securely hang things above the crib?

i painted three canvases with a bible verse on them, which i intended to go above the crib, but DH is against hanging anything above the crib in case it would fall off the wall. and, these are ultra-thin canvases anyway, so hanging them is going to be tricky..... i appreciate his fear/worry (as usually this would be MY fear that he would make fun of me for! haha) but i'm frustrated that there will be NOTHING above the crib.....

any ideas?

Id hang it however youd normally hang a canvas (picture hanger, two nails in each croner) and then put sticky foam tape in each corner to secure it to the wall. It may mess up the paint when you eventually take it down, but it will safely stay. Hang then high enough that when he is stading and the mattress is lowered he can reach them.

I love the idea of bible verses! Which did you choose, any pics??

no pics yet, i just finished them this weekend. i did jer. 29:11, split it into three canvases and stenciled the letters. and, if i may say so myself, they turned out pretty sweet.

now if i could only figure out how to hang them..... thanks for your advice

THANKS!!! I will try that. I might hang them up now and see how they fare over the next few weeks, see how he feels about them when the baby arrives thanks for the tip!!
