Pregnant after a Loss

3rd tri girls

does anyone else have trouble getting out of bed in the mornings? I have never been a sleep late kind of girl, usually awake by 7 or 8 at the latest, even on weekends. the last few days it has been SO hard for me to wake up, yesterday I kept falling back to sleep and didn't get up until 10am!! today my alarm went off at 7:15 and I fell back to sleep until 8 - ugh. I'm sure tossing and turning all night doesn't help, but that's been going on for months now and the inability to wake up has just started. am I the only one experiencing this? I hate it!!

  • I am so with you.  I could sleep until 9 or 10 everyday.  I just keep thinking it is my body's way of telling me I need more sleep.

  • Yep, but then again it is always hard for me to get out of bed!!! This morning was terrible though, mind you I didn't go to bed till 1:30am!

  • Yup! And....I'm a teacher and have to be up by 5:30am and out the door by 6:15am. It is getting awful. I am completely exhausted and feel run-down.

I think its bad b/c I am getting up to pee like 3 times a night (even when I limit my liquids near the end of the night....). So, I get up, then finally fall back asleep only to have to get up again.

  • I can't believe how far along you are!  Just came on and happened to see your post.  Hope things are going well :)
  • Absolutely.  I wasted both Saturday and Sunday mornings because I slept in!  I've never been a morning person, but I'd gotten on a nice routine where I'd be up by 9 latest on the weekends, and now I'm sleeping in until 11 whenever I can.  Waking up for work has been brutal!

  • Yep, me too....I've always been a night owl too and some nights I even crash early and still have the most difficult time getting up in the mornings. I usually get up around 7 - 8 am depending on if I have to take my DS to my mom's or not, but I could easily sleep another couple of hours every morning. I can't wait for the last couple of weeks before my due date to where I won't be working at all and hopefully, will get rested up some before the baby comes! I'm not going to hold my breath though.
  • I could definitely stay in bed forever if it weren't for my dog who has an internal alarm clock that always goes off at 5:30.  its been so cold lately too that I could curl up in a ball and sleep all day if I could.
  • No, you aren't alone. It's getting harder for me to physically get out of bed too. I'm so sore and achy in the morning. bleh
