TTC after 35

Update on Birdie

I haven't been around much lately ,not that I was around much when I was around,  but that should change now which is fortunate and unfortunate at the same time.

Unfortunate because my mom lost her battle with leukemia and passed away on Sept 29 which means I have more time to post.   Once she made her decision to stop treatments it happened within a matter of days.  Which for her was good because she didn't have to suffer but for us it sucks(ed) really bad.  I feel too young to have lost a parent and she was too young to have died.

Anyway, now I can concentrate on getting pregnant, which will make her happy, and I can post more  (which is the fortunate part). Hopefully I will not feel like a stranger on here anymore.

So I see there have been some BFP's on here..congratulations to all of you!!  Hopefully it won't be too much longer for the rest of us.

How is everyone else doing?

  • Hi, Birdie.  It's good to see you back, but I am sorry you have been through so much!  Take care of yourself!
  • I am so sorry for your loss.  My Mom passed away from cancer when I was 22, so I totally understand how it feels to lose a parent too soon.  I know she is with me in spirit and that she would be happy for me, so that makes things a little easier.

I wish you much luck in getting pregnant!

  • Oh Birdie.  I'm sorry sorry for your loss.  DH lost his father earlier this year so I sort of know second hand how tough it can be to feel as though you're too young to have lost a parent.

BUG HUG to you and looking forward to seeing you around a little more often.

  • Birdie,

I'm so sorry you lost your mom. ((((hugs))))).

She was lucky to have such a caring, loving daughter.

I hope you get your BFP soon!

    It's good to "see" you.

    Joyful

  • You all are so great.  Thanks for the nice words!

ETA: I love Hospice. It's not idea to get hospice for a loved one because they deal with terminal situations, but they are so great when you do need them. My mom was really restless the day before she passed but the nurses at Hospice were able to get her relaxed and keep reassuring us that she was not in any pain or uncomfortable.  Then after she passed, one of the nurses called my brother and I, indivdually, to say how sorry she was to hear about it.  I can not even imagine what people did when Hospice wasn't around.

  • Birdie, I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. What a heart-wrenching time this is for you.  {{{hugs}}

I'm so sorry Birdie. Losing our loved ones is so difficult. My heart still aches with the loss of my father and sister. I hope you are able to find peace during the difficult time.

?I've been benched on the sidelines with a 3-month forced break due to a messy m/c, and hope to be back in the TTC game soon.?It's good to see you back and I look forward to seeing your updates!
