i have had my eye on the monte luca glider for quite some time and we finally decided on it tonight. it's pricey, but IL's are contributing to most of it. i just can't find anything else i would be happy with. please let me know if you got it, what you think. did you get a light or dark color, the comfort and comparison to others you've tried. i see one location in my area that may have it, so i am going to try to see it in person tomorrow. thanks.

Re: sweetspike & all: please share your monte luca glider reviews
DH and I tried them out last weekend and ended up ordering the glider and ottoman in the chocolate brown color. I was originally thinking charcoal but preferred the brown in person.
The chair is pretty small compared to others we tried, but have a small space and are happy about the footprint size.
I tried it with a boppy and fit just fine.
DH is a big guy (6'4" and about 270) and he also fit fine, although it was without the boppy ;-)
It isn't the absolute most comfortable chair we tried, but it was fairly comfy. The aesthetics were so much better and the fact that we can move it into our living room later sold us.
The other options we considered were the Room & Board Carter chair and Dutailier Cadenza.
I totally agree. I tried a bunch out and finally decided on

The Dutailier are way more comfortable, recline all the way back, rock more gently. They just look less urban....which sucked since I LOVED the look of the Monte Luca and was totally determined to get it. I ended up order the Dutalier in Chocolate Brown Suede. I LOVE it.
