Neutrogena Facial Cleansing Bar...

I've started using this. Just the regular old bar (no acne ingredients) and did some research on the ingredients myself. I'm loving it, but am worried that since it's working, there's something in it that I'm supposed to be avoiding. Any info would be great! Thanks!

  • It should be fine. If you are super-concerned you could always call your OB =)

  • I asked my doc about different cremes and soaps since my breakouts are out of control!  She said anything that doesn't have salycilic acid in it is ok.  So I have been looking for that on labels.

I tend to be overly worried, so should should do what your doctor says, but you might want to be careful with some natural ingredients too.

  • That's a good point too.  Thanks!
  • My OB told me that anything you buy at the drugstore is safe to use on your face. Just not accutane, etc. Like PP I am also using the Neutrogena stuff in the pump bottle, it is an acne wash.  Also using the "matching" moisturizer which does have salicylic acid in it.  Dr. sad it was fine.

My skin is a LOT better now that I started using that stuff.  I had a lot of huge nasty zits but I waited to use anything until I had my 1st appt and could ask her.  I have also been using the Avon Anew 10% glycolic acid pads and that has also helped a lot.  My skin looks pretty decent!
