If you swaddle from the waist down...

This may sound dumb, but, how???  Do you fold the blanket just like you would if you were swaddling with arms in?  I tried last night and I'm just not really sure how I'm supposed to fold the blanket.  I know how to swaddle arms in, just didn't know if there was a different method to this.  Thanks!

  • We still do the blanket the same way and still keep it up DS's back...but he pulls his arms out as soon as we started to wrap it.  It usually hits him mid chest.  For some reason, he HATES having his hands bundled up!

  • I just wrap him like when i would swaddle arms in. Fold down the top of the blanket and wrap one side around and under his back then the other.

We do this as well. From day one DD did not like to have her arms swaddled. Lately DD has been kicking off her blanket in the night so we started using a long sleeve sleep sack.

  • I use the following steps, except I put the top of the blanket under the armpits rather than at the neck.
