Anyone else really uncomfortable...

I am 32-weeks, last time on U/S the bables measured at 4.3 and 4.7lbs (I was 30-weeks).  The last week or so I get up every hour to use the bathroom, have really bad hip pains, and can't sleep.  I think everytime I get out of bed in the morning my belly has grown another inch.  I can't even go to Walmart for 20-minutes without getting BH contractions.  I know I am very whiny...God bless my husband!  Does anyone else feel this way?  I have reached the point that I just want them out.  Does anyone know if the babies are really big will doctors take them early?

Re: Anyone else really uncomfortable...

  • I am 26 weeks and feeling the same. I feel huge every day and walking even short distances gives me BHs. I have been spending a lot of time lying down!

Don't worry - you are almost there!

  • I'm right there with you, I can't sleep, I feel like my stomach grows an inch an hour, my back hurts, and on top of just being uncomfortable in general I've been sick for the last week! I'm sure my husband is ready for me to stop complaining too!! I'm glad to know I'm not the only one feeling miserable, but I really hope I can keep these babies in long enough for them to be big and healthy, no matter how long I have to be uncomfortable!
  • I'm there with you too! I'll be 32 weeks tomorrow and the babies are weighing 4.6 and 3.7 lbs. I feel like i'm carrying around a ton of weight! my back hurts and seeing is uncomfortable especially if I want to switch sides!

A friend is having twins and they are getting pretty big so they won't let her go past Oct 28 which would put her at about 36 weeks. I'm just trying to keep these girls in as long as possible!

  • By then I only left my house for dr. appts.  I couldn't even walk to the back of the store to grab milk -- you are in the home stretch now!

Listen to your body -- REST, REST, REST.

Oh -- big babies doesn't mean they are ready to come.  You do not want them to come early no matter how much pain you are in because having NICU babies is more painful than an uncomfortable pg.

  • it only gets better!!! i felt like crap at 32 weeks and lets jut say now i am 34 weeks and it is only getting worse!!! cant wait to see how fun 36 weeks will be hahahaha.. God willing i make it there!!! but like pp said i want these babies to stay in as long as possiblle... so i will deal!! soory not trying to be a debbie downer just telling you the truth!! but i know the final goal is well worth the pain and i am sure you do too!!!
  • not there yet, but getting little twinges. keep those babies in as long as  you can. the US weights can be off and even though they're big they still can have lots of problems breathing, feeding etc. You're almost done! You can make it.

  • I'm not ready to throw in the towel yet but I feel it.  Mostly it's my stubborness carrying me through. I can go to the hospital I want to deliver at if I can hold out to 36 weeks.
