Does Colin look like a girl with this wild hair? I LOVE his curls and am not ready for him to look all grown up but today his curls did something kinda funky. I think he's adorable but could probably use a trim. Does he look like a girl?
OK, sorry ... but yes. Just my opinion, obviously. And I asked DH if he thought the pic was a boy or a girl ... and he said girl. Sorry. What does your DH think?
Karen- I am not offended in the slightest. I think he is starting to look girly especially when it goes all wacky. I just wanted to see what others think/thought. He needs a haircut, I am just not ready for him to lose his baby look I guess haha. Poor kid.
Alas I let Ridge's hair grow really long too and people kept calling him a girl. I still like it wild and floppy but I had them trim it up. Most of his curls and waves came back.
It does look a little like pony tails (sorry). We went to Snip Its for the last haircut and I told them I wanted a messy surfer do and I love what they did with Ridge's hair.
I showed the picture to DH and he said boy. Although I do agree with the others that it might be time for a trim. And you could put a curl in his baby book.
Ack---I think he looks like a boy, but when I saw your pics on facebook I did a double take as I thought his hair was in pigtails. I was like surely she didn't out his hair up. I had to look at the other pics to make sure I wasn't seeing things. I hope that isn't too harsh. He is adorable and this comes from someone that has a child with wild crazy girls, but with Maggie being a girl I just through a bow in her hair. HTH
awwww... I don't think he looks girly per se, but the curls do look like they could be pigtails...
This is what I was gonna say. But he's still absolutely adorable! My nephew had curls like this and constantly got mistaken for a girl, so he got his hair cut. They cut enough off so that he no longer looking girly, but he still had plenty of curls.
oh NO, I hope this isn't b/c of what I said on FB!!!!! He looks adorable. I can only wish my boys had hair that curled like that, but alas, they both had hair that needed a cut before a year. I'm glad that I wasn't the only one that did a double-take though...but honestly, it's the angle of the pic...when you look at the others, it's obvious you did not put his hair in piggies

No Steph don't worry. I looked at the pics and thought oh crap he has girly hair. so I posed the question. I LOVE his hair and his curls but it needs to be cleaned up. Poor kid with girly hair lol. I got a pigtails and crew cuts coupon so I'll take that as a sign.
OK if I didn't know him I would have to say yes. But I do have to say I am HIGHLY jealous of the curl because Nate has not one curl to his callick hair. He has had I think now 8 hair cuts since he was 11 months. So if I was you I would have such a hard time cutting it too!
I showed the pic to dh and he thought C was a girl. I do think it looks like he has pigtails in the pic. I, too, am jealous of the curls, though. My boys have the straightest hair, just like their mommy.

My thoughts exactly. I think its just that shot and maybe that day. Plus that sweater IMO is gender neutral. That being said, don't cut those cute curls until you are ready.
I think he looks precious. My mom has a defining moment photo of my older brother of when she looked at it and finally accepted that he needed a haircut, haha. I saw on FB that you were taking him to get it cut, you have to post us before/after pics!
p.s. do y'all remember Lori (lololoco)'s "Does Kate have a mullet?" poll? I'm pretty sure I'm going to be following in her footsteps any day now
When I looked at the picture after reading your post, I had to chuckle. He looks so cute and the look on his face. Boys are the best.
I agree with all of these ladies. I'm not sure about the texture of his hair but could you just kind of kind of brush, comb or run your fingers through it to make it go in a new direction? I say don't cut it until you're ready the curls are cute!
Re: Ok give it to me straight...
I love those curls--don't cut them
My brother had the exact same curls and he grew up to look like a total boy:)

but then again i'm also jealous that Colin has more hair than his girlfriend (who has been pining away for him lately BTW).
