For those of you doing this the 2nd time around, what weeks do you feel are ideal to have your baby showers? I am having 2, one from family, one from friends. Right now, the dates we are looking at will put me at 32 and 36 weeks consecutively.
I am almost feeling like that may be pushing it.... Tough part is, I don't want any showers before the New Year b/c of holidays, hecitc schedules, etc. Would you advise me to squeeze them in a few weeks earlier if possible? I just looked at the calendar and realized 36 weeks is eerily close to due date for me:(
Re: Ideal time (weeks) for baby showers?
Mine is today (even though I'm not supposed to know about it) - I am 29 and a half weeks. I feel good, and really am looking forward to it! ?
Yeah, I am thinking of pushing mine up to 29 weeks and 33 weeks. I don't think it's too early... I just threw a shower for a friend who was 25 weeks! I am very active and busy, which my dr said could put me at risk for pre term labor. Therefore I really want to refrain from any big events or activities after week 35!
I am glad I had mine @ 30 weeks b/c My son was born @ 33 weeks
I think ideally around the 30w mark.
My shower with my first was at 35w3d. I went into labor at the end of my shower and had my baby that night.
A lot of people had ordered things online that were to be delivered. Car seat, bassinet, etc. We scrambled to get things together to be able to take her home.
I know most first time babies do not come that early, but some do. I say the 30w mark is a great time.

It looks like mine is going to be around the end of week 36 just to avoid the holidays.
Oops, I also just saw this isn't for first timers. My bad!
