any suggestions for a service to find a babysitter? i am in the midtown east area and looking for a babysitter for some random times.

DH has a cousin who goes to school at Barnard and she has friends/roommates in the Barnard Babysitting Agency (https://eclipse.barnard.columbia.edu/~bbsitter/) so you can try here. Some of them may be willing to go down to midtown east.

I think I got this website from a nestie. But I found our local sitter through here and she's great. They have pictures...some have background checks.
