Re: Scarecrow Fest in the snow?!

  • Snow effin' sucks. I woke up this morning and there's about 1-2 inches on the ground! It's Oct 10th! Hopefully it melts right away. Argh. Why on Earth do I still live here?!

    I feel your pain...

  • I am actually jealous b/c it's supposed to be 90 effin' degrees here today....I guess everyone wants what they don't have. =) I had a hard time packing my bag and LO's bag b/c you never know what the weather here is going to decide to do. I packed "layers".

  • We must live pretty close to each other!  We were thinking of taking DD to Scarecrow Fest but not so sure with the chance of snow.  We were also thinking of taking her to Kuiper's since it's one of our favorite places but we may just have to wait until next weekend and hope it warms up again!

Yea, that!  Elliot kept yelling, "It's winter mommy, it's winter!" Ick!

  • Good thing we're not stalkers on here or locals would know where you live now!  I can't think of a single year that I went to Scarecrow Fest in the snow and I lived in that town for over 20 years!  It's insane!  I was really hoping for no snow until after our LO is here!!

Kuiper's is great too!  They have the BEST cider of any local places.  Jonamac (west of DeKalb) has a really cool corn maze that from the air looks like a penny and a ton of stuff for kids to play on & in - corn crib, little mazes, playgrounds etc.  They're worth checking out too!

  • Where in Illinois are you?  I like snow, but I'm not ready for it quite yet.  I prefer it between thanksgiving and the end of January.  =)

  • People in Southeast Nebraska woke up to 1-2 inches and it's still snowing ..ugh! what happened to fall?

  • I was awake last night when it started.  I say anything that allows me to wear more layers to cover up is a-ok.  It is MN...
