I had a girlfriend who took and she swears by it. She did also mention that she sh*t all over the doctor...like, projectile diarrhea that got on his face, glasses and just all over.
He told her, after the birth, that she was NEVER to take it again or he would no longer deliver any of her children.
Its a bad idea anyway. Have you talked to your Dr. about that?
I have heard of people using it, but it scares the crap out of me...no pun intended, so I just thought I would ask for some input...thanks ladies, I think I will steer clear of this for my docs. sake.

It sounds funny, but I was in the car with my DH driving home and I made a deep voice and said "Dedric it's time to come out" . I had been telling people earlier that week I was going to give him an eviction notice. I went into labor a couple of hours later. I know this won't really help you, but I thought it was funny in my case.

This. I definitely wouldn't try to use Castor Oil to bring on labor.
This. From others I have heard 50/50 chance, better chance having your membranes stripped
