HW GTG - "savory" food???

Maybe I'm just stupid but I don't know what kind of food to bring tomorrow...I am assigned to "savory". Are we talking like cheese & crackers or like a hot mac & cheese dish?

Yea, I had a big ? in my head when I read that next to my name but I'm probably just going to do some kind of yummy finger food. Maybe pigs in a blanket? DH loves those so I know at least he will eat them.

I would go with the cheese and crackers but I can never resist mac and cheese.

Hahaha... I am so glad you posted this. I am assigned to "savory" too. I thought I was the only one who had no idea what that meant. I am anxious to see if you get any responses. My dad told me I'd be fine if I brought something that "wasn't sweet." Big Smile

Right now, I am thinking about making a couple of dips to go with crackers, unless someone has a better idea for savory. On top of that, I now live in Salado, so there is no way I can show up with anything that is supposed to be served hot. Anyway... I can't wait to see the responses.

Whew! Thank goodness I'm not the only clueless one! I have been waiting for days hoping someone else would post about it but finally got up the guts to do it! HA!

Savory would be more of a dish- not dessert like or sweet, not a snack. I'd go with mac and cheese.

Sorry! Savory meaning not sweet. I think finger foods might be easier, but I'll have utensils. If you have an awesome sweet treat you'd like to bring, go for it- I was just suggesting savory so that we didn't have all sweet items.
