maternity leggings/tights

So, I'm going shopping this weekend for fall clothes that fit. At 12 wks, I don't show but have a major bloat baby and nothing fits anymore!

In any case, I am planning on getting some empire waist dresses that I should be able to wear for a couple of months. But it is getting chilly in NY. Any suggestions on where to find maternity tights or leggings - preferably the footed kind. I don't want to spend too much but do want something comfortable.

    The Assets ones at target are really comfy and cheap.  The are maternity, but I found them in the regular tights/nylons/socks area, not the maternity section.

    I got Assets opaque tights.  I like that they fit very high over the belly.  The Motherhood ones are cheaper but only go half way.  Got cotton/spandex ones at Gap (to wear with sweaters vs dresses) that fit under the belly.  I'd suggest going a size smaller than you think you need.  They stretch a lot and start sliding off as you walk.

    GAP!!  I just got one there 2 weeks ago and I wear them almost every day.  I think I might go back this weekend and buy 2 more.

    Ditto GAP!  So comfy.  I actually got one size larger, assuming I'd grow into them.  Right now they are loose in the belly (though still wearable), but big around ankles so it makes me feel skinny :)

    I just bought the next size up in regular tights and leggings.  Way cheaper than mat ones and they fit perfectly.

    I got the Spanx sister brand at Target today - Assets, Marvelous Momma's black tights. They were $19 but they are supposed to last through your entire pregnancy.

    I'm a very small person and I got the largest size maternity tight Motherhood made.  They do not fall down on me and are pretty comfy.  They go all the way over my belly.

    I just ordered a pair from motherhood.com yesterday.  I'm anxious to see how they fit once they get here next week.

    I'm 5'9'' but even the Tall size tights are long enough to pull over my belly.  Try it before you pay more for maternity tights :)
