GD and counting carbs

Do you count total carbs, or net carbs?? I had some cauliflower tonight, and it's a little high for carbs, but it also has a good amount of fiber in it too, so just curious...

Re: GD and counting carbs

  • It depends on what your dietician/nutritionist/doctor told you. Some count net, some count total.

I was told to count total.

  • i dont add the fiber
  • Yeah, I count total carbs. Don't take fiber into account.
  • I was told to count total carbs, but I was also told that certain foods I can be lenient on, such as cauliflower. Meaning even though it's high carb I shouldn't neccesarily avoid it
