Good morning ladies!!
So, I have a feeling this is because I only got roughly 4 1/2-5 hours of sleep before temping. But I want your prof. lol opinion
. This AM I took my temp at the normal time, but as I stated.. I didn't get as much sleep as normal. My temps have been ranging from 97.75-97.90.. well today it was 98.33. So that's a huge jump. I'm not sure what to do ?
The open circles starting at CD 20 are because I backed my temping time up by 2 hours. But I have been temping the same time since. I hope this isn't too newbish lol. TIA for your help!

I would probably mark today's as sleep deprived, and then see how the next few days go. You're looking for a trend, after all, not an individual temp.
GL!

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929
I think it still looks like you Oed, but the open circles for the time change make sense.
4-5 hours of sleep before temping is fine, you want about 3 hours of consecutive sleep before the temp. If your hours of sleep prior to temp weren't the same today, it can lead to higher or erratic temps. Something to make note of, but not to focus on.
Know that the idea is to see a pattern of pre-O and post-O patterns, so if you altered the time you temp in the past few days it's not really comparing apples to apples anymore. (i.e. your temps all pre-O are not the same time range as now).
I wouldn't worry/question on today's jump, as individual temps aren't the focus, but the pattern.
It looks good though, but until you temp consistently for the cycle it can still be iffy.
Good luck!
Thank you MC
That is true.. when I looked at the overlay I realized that my temps were about that high last month. But they were dropping because I started early by this time lol. I know about the open circles
but I had to change my temp time and couldn't wait for a new cycle due to a new job. Thank you hun!!
Ok thanks Shan.. I hadn't thought of putting sleep deprived on there. I did, and that will remind me that it was unusual sleeping habits for me. Thank you! Hope you are doing better!
Thank you hun!
I couldn't remember how much sleep was necessary lol. I also didn't know if I should discard >.>. But now I know
lol Thank you very much!
Thank you hun! Yall are telling me a lot that I didn't know and it is very helpful. I tried not to change my temp time half way through the cycle... but I got a new job and had no choice really. I'm going to leave it at the earlier time now, and hopefully my next chart will be more consistent. Ty for your help
As you're learning to chart, an important thing to keep in mind is that your chart is what it is. You don't want to make excuses for temps that don't do what you want them to do, or find reasons to adjust or discard temps to fit a pattern that might not really be there.
It can be tempting to try to "control" your chart, but the more accurate they are, the better. Best of luck!
Thank you for the advice and luck wishes Kat. I will keep that in mind. I guess I had it imprinted somehow that you discard temps that are way off.. .but now I see that this one really isn't.
Thank you all!! Good luck to all of you as well
