I went to prenatal yoga today. At the end, we have a 15 minute relaxation time, where we lay on our sides and hold our babies. When I sat back up, I had a lot of water-ish stuff, I could feel a bit of it running down my leg. I went to the bathroom and it didn't seem to continue. Since then, there has been a normal amount of water-y discharge. I'm laying on the couch waiting to get up again, to see if it gushes again.
So, question: how much leaking should there be before I call L and D? I have an appointment tomorrow at 3:15.
Re: Stupid Water-Breaking Question
When I thought I was leaking, they had me lay on my left side in the office and then stand up, and if there was a significant amount leaked then, I think they were going to test it to see if it was amniotic fluid.
Otherwise - when you get later in the pregnancy increased discharge is possible - and when you're lying on your side, and warmer than normal...sometimes the discharge can liquify more from the heat of your body. At least, that's what my midwife had to say.

This "test" didn't work for me, I could never fill a pad -- I had a very slow water rupture (enough to just trickle or leak down my leg if I had been laying down or sitting leaning forward for more than 30+ minutes). Mention it to your OB at tomorrow's appointment, they may be able to do a Amnisure or strip test to verify if it's AF or just discharge.
FWIW, my leak didn't have the "sweet" smell that AF is supposed to have either. The only reason it was caught was because I went into my normal appointment and casually mentioned I thought I was having a lot of watery discharge - surprise! I ended up being induced a few hours later.
