can anyone recommend a type of laundry detergent to use on baby clothes? i've heard the free and clear ones are the way to go but i thought i'd ask more experienced moms!

We like All Free and Clear. It's cheaper than Tide and works just as well.

We used ALL Baby for the first two months or so, but once the bottle was empty I started just putting his stuff in with ours and using Tide Total Care. Works fine and he hasn't reacted to it or anything.

Yes, the free and clear ones work well...no need to get Dreft and pay more $$.

I use regular tide and haven't had a problem. Haven't heard good things about dreft...the people at the bedding store told me that it makes all of the baby bedding fall apart. I'm not sure though because I haven't used it.

I use Method free and clear, but I honestly don't think it matters that much. When this bottle is empty I'll just use our regular Method detergent.

I start out with free and clear, but after awhile, go to the regular stuff...slowly though. I wash one item in the regular detergent that I use on the rest of our clothes and when DD wears it, I just make sure she is not getting rashes from it. If nothing, then I stop using the free and clear. It is just easier to have to seperate all her clothes from the 3 of ours.
