Question for those of you who are 23 wks....

I dont know if I should call doc or not. Baby is moving and playing in my belly as usual and I feel fine just this weird ache :(

any advice would be appreciate.

  • Sounds like Round Ligament Pain. Nothing to be worried about.?

  • I get aches like that, & they usually clear up within a minute or two. I think baby is just swimming around & gets himself in awkward areas sometimes - I've noticed he has his "favorite" spots to hang out.
  • I agree with the above ideas, but remember in the end, you have to always go with "your gut". If you are really worried you can always call the doctor and ask if it helps you feel better.

  • Sounds like RLP, I get it mostly on my right side.

Ditto.  And I get it if I move too quickly.  It always goes away within a minute or 2 though.

this. i have this pain in my a**...literally. on the right side...it makes me limp.

  • MonicaD, I paged you earlier.. Do you still need a labor buddy? If so I will be yours :)
  • In addition to RLP, it could just be general stretching (of your skin too).  I had that pretty bad last week when my belly grew a ton.

  • i had a horrible pain in my butt too.  Doc said it was probably my baby or uterus putting pressure on my siatic nerve.  It got so bad to the point where I was limping and could barely walk.  Baby has moved since and I havent had anymore pain like that.  I'm sure it will come back.

Lay on your left side to get the baby to move off that spot.  And use a heating pad

This.  I get it on my left side...mine has yet to let up in months.  :(

  • I have the same thing..no worries..
  • Personally, I would call your doctor.  It may be nothing, but remember that that is exactly what they are there for.  If nothing else, it will put your mind at ease.
