How long after implantation bleeding +HPT

I know implantation bleeding doesn't happen for many people.  But if it were to happen, how many days after it would a HPT show positive?  TIA

Re: How long after implantation bleeding +HPT

  • I don't think there is really a set answer for that.  14dpo is the general rule of thumb for when a HPT will be close to accurate.

  • I had spotting at 8 dpo, I got my BFP at 15 dpo (though I probably would have gotten a positive at 12 dpo).  HTH

  • Implantation happens at 7-10dpo.  A HPT will probably be + 5 days after implantation, but everyone is different.  In reality, don't test until AF is late.  GL  There is a % of accuracy floating around here somewhere, but I don't have it.

  • Thanks everyone for the answers!  I just had a little spotting, probably nothing  I won't test until AF is late.  I just wondered if there was a timeline from implantation to +HPT.  Thanks!

There is no timeline with ttc.

Don't I know it!  We've been trying since November of 2008.  I thought it would happen so fast.  Kinda makes me wish we hadn't wasted so much money on years of BCP!

    Thanks again for the advice!
