Shower guilt?? Just a vent...

So one of my sis-in-law's enthusiastically asked if she could throw me a shower....Of course, that'd be great! I said. So mom says "well we didn't throw your other sis-in-law one with her first".....but I reminded her that we DID offer to throw her one, and she declined. Said she didn't need a shower. Anyway, my mom has been saying things like "oh I hope she doesn't mind us having one for you", and making me feel guilty about wanting one.

Just a vent. That's all.

I would just be sure to tell her how much you appreciate it multiple times, and get her a really nice hostess gift!

That's wierd, who doesn't have a shower with their first baby? Don't feel bad at all! A hostess gift of a thank you gift is a good idea

Who cares if the other SIL minds that you are having a shower? She's the one that declined!

Be happy about your shower and have an awesome time! You shouldn't feel guilty about this.
