Infertility

IUI #2 part 1 was this morning!

I just got back from part one of two back to back IUI's this morning. Everything looked great on my end...2 follicles and great lining. Very exciting.

We had mixed feelings about DH's pre-wash SA numbers....one the one hand, his motility percentage was the highest ever at 23% with 1-2 progression (started at 3% with 1 progression a year ago pre-surgery!). So that was happy news. On the other hand, his count was the lowest we've ever seen at 12mil/mL. Ouch. DH did have a fever in June which the urologist said might effect his numbers in 3 months...which would be now. Maybe that's why, but who knows with SA #s??

The post wash numbers worked out to 5.5 mil, 55% motility at 2-3 progression. So....not great. But the doctor was very reassuring that it DOES happen with numbers like that, it just may be a matter of time. We are still very hopeful and excited, and praying that this cycle brings us our miracle!

IUI part 2 will be tomorrow morning.

We are adopting! Currently waiting for our domestic infant adoption match.

  • Good luck & I'll be praying for you! At our IUI last week, my H's was similar at 6 mm post-wash. You're lucky you get to do B2B; I always wondered why my RE won't on us.
