Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Just when I get comfortable...

It's time to change boards again!  Ansley Reese was born on Sept. 21.  She was five weeks early, and it is crazy to think that technically, I should still be pregnant until the end of this month.  I'm a first time mom, so it is still a little overwhelming.  We are still trying to figure out breastfeeding, as her stay in the NICU delayed our first nursing experience.  We are home, adjusting to DH being back at work.  I'm sure I'll have a ton of questions as time goes on, so please be patient with this newbie.

Re: Just when I get comfortable...

  • Congrats!  Your story sounds very much like my own.... my (first) baby, Ethan, came 4 weeks early... and we had to figure out the whole breastfeeding thing when he came home from the NICU as well.  Have you been pumping since the beginning?  I know that helped me... and (I don't want to jinx myself...but)  I really think we finally have things figured out... we don't use formula any longer, and we only pump occasionally.
