LO a noisy sleeper??

Evan is such a noisy sleeper.  He makes all sorts of grunts and coos when he is sleeping.  I think that it is cute, but at night I find myself waking up so often to check to see if they are waking up noises or sleep noises.  Does anyone else have a loud sleeper?

  • Justin is SUCH a grunter. When we moved him to his crib I could not believe how much better I slept :) I am the lightest sleeper ever and we travel alot so I pretty much always bank on tiny minimal amounts of vacation sleep.

This is exactly me as well....while I love listening to him sleep, I can't get any myself! We have a white noise machine going, though...so it helps a bit (as soon as I got used to the machine...that took about 6 or 7 months)

In the very beginning - Evan had a grunting spell every morning for a couple of hours during his sleep. I felt horrible for him because I thought it was gas or something and he wasn't really getting good sleep.

DH made me put Evan in his crib at about 8 weeks b/c I wasn't getting any sleep. I was either checking on DS in the bassinet or trying to wake DH to stop him from snoring. All was so much better after I did this. I woke to the important noises...but not every. single. noise.

  • YES! T does this too! And I too check on her almost every noise she makes! But Mel I'm worried that when we move her into her crib it's going to be worse because I'll have to actually get out of bed to go in and check on her. Also because she doesn't cry when she wakes up she just makes little noises...similar to when she's sleeping so it's hard to decipher without looking at her.

  • Belle is a very noisy sleeper. Always cooing not really grunting. Were getting use to it cause she does it every time she sleeps. Her wake up noises are different from her sleeping noises though. DH and I love it. Her noises are too cute!

  • Yes, DH and I would just lay in bed cracking up at the noises she made!  We called them "jungle noises", squeeks and sqawks, grunts... all kinds of noise.
  • Yup, she squeeks a lot in her sleep.  Now I just don't get up until her eyes are open and she is crying.  Thank god for the video monitor.

  • Oh yes, Bri is a super noisey sleeper.  So much so that DH kicked us out of the master bedroom around 4 weeks cause he couldn't take it.  So I moved into her room with her and started co-sleeping the second part of the night and she is very quiet now.
  • We started DD in her crib from day one and I'm so glad we did-she's SO loud! We share a room with her when we visit my Mom and I barely get any sleep with her in the room! Its crazy!
