Boob Q: does everyone leak?

I have no idea how this whole milk coming in thing works, other than what I've heard and read (most saying that many women will leak prior to giving birth). I'm not. And I've tried. Am I just lucky and do not all women leak or maybe it just isn't ready yet or what?

I have yet to leak. I have heard that not everyone does, and my mom never did with us. Supposedly, it doesn't affect breastfeeding. I guess it's one less thing to worry about!

I haven't leaked at all either, my midwife and other people have said that not everyone does prior to giving birth...so i wouldn't worry about it. We will have plenty of leakage after!

I didnt. and from what I understand not everyone does. I have taken off my bra and had moist nipples or a little tiny bit of crust like a slight leakage but nothing that would be seen on the oposite side of my bra.

Not everyone does. ?I have noticed on maybe 2 occasions that I had a drop of fluid on my nipple...but nothing more than that. ?At this point it would be colostrum...actual milk doesn't come in until after delivery.

Yeah, this falls under the "everyone is different" category. Some women start leaking at 20 weeks and some never leak at all. I haven't had any leakage either.

Nope... not everyone does. Sometimes it takes the baby suckling to actually get everything moving... that's why its so important if you are planning to BF to do so as soon as LO is born.

I did not leak while pg. Just afterwards if I wasn't wearing a bra.

Your milk doesnt really "come in" until after the placenta is delivered, usually 2 or 3 days after. Mine have leaked a pea size and the only reason I noticed it is bc I wasnt wearing a bra. I wouldnt worry about it too much. Messing with your nipples too much can cause uncomfortable contractions so be careful!! Thats what I heard at least.

I can only get the tiniest little bead of liquid if I squeeze my right one. I've read multiple things that say it isn't an indication of whether or not you'll be able to breastfeed. Most women can, so I wouldn't worry about it. I'm simply happy that I don't have to deal with leaky nipples on top of all the other wonderful symptoms of pg we have Smile

not everyone leaks. At my breastfeeding class hardly anyone started to leak. the nurse said it's totally normal not to leak until the baby is born.

i hope i dont leak until i give birth b/c i dont want to mess up my nice shirts

Not everyone leaks before the baby comes. It's not a stupid question and yes, you are lucky! I've been leaking since 18 wks and it is a royal pain. I miss being able to sleep without a bra!

I have had two instances (one around 26 weeks, one this past weekend) where my right boob leaked a little... and nothing else so far. Here's to hoping it stays that way!

This once or twice but I can sit and squeeze them and have virtually nothing come out. I'm not complaining though. It would be better than leaking like a siv your entire pregnancy like your hear some girls do.
