Those of you who are close to your DD... what do your early contractions feel like? I have had cramps off and on for a few days. It feels sort of like menstrual cramps but they are certainly not untolerable. Are these early contractions?
DD conceived naturally in 2009. TTC #2 since August 2010. Praying for guidance as we decide what's next.

Re: What do your contractions feel like?
Menstrual cramps ARE contractions. So if you feel crampy it most likely means you're having some Braxton Hicks. Everyone feels contractions differently.
Mine feel like my baby rolls up into a tight ball, causing my entire belly to feel hard. But it isn't baby. It's a contraction.
Next time you feel the cramps, feel all over your belly and see if it is hard and if it softens as the cramps ease.
Definitely don't jump the L&D gun. Real contractions are painful and intense and last longer than a few seconds.
Mine are combinations of menstrual-like cramping, major pressure, tightening and pain across the middle of the belly. Never ever the same.
The few times they got close to being timetable (6-7 mins apart for about half an hour) they've always been pain all over and wrapping around my back with tightening and always on the verge of tolerable, but close to making me tell DH to STFU for a minute.
Mine never last though. Every time it happens we both start to get excited, only to be let down
Edit: I had another one and just had to come back and say that they also make me need to pee badly! LOL
