Keeping water out of DC's eyes in bath?

DS has been squirming and protesting more when we try to wash the shampoo off his head in the bath. He's getting fussier about getting water in his eyes, and of course, when he squirms it just makes it more difficult to keep the water heading in the right direction! Does anyone have one of those rinse cups like the one below, and does it work? Or any other tricks for this?

    It would if he would lean back. Mine doesn't like the idea of getting water in his eyes. After once or twice trying to use the cup properly, I end up just going as quick as I can and rinsing before I use a towel to wipe his face off. Of course, mine is much older than yours, so if you use it now, he might not mind as much when he's a toddler.
