1. did they ever test your amh or inhibin B? this is newer for testing how many good follicles you have left. Some people think the test is inaccurate but maybe worth a shot?
2. I thought intralipids were for combating high NK cells? but your doc doesn't want to test for that? The jury's still out on this but the sirm doc I talked to seems to think that this can also cause implantation failure.
3. i thought long lupron was bad for poor responders and they should do a flare or ep protocol?
whatever you do GL....you have a lot of strength to deal with this....

Holy moly that was quite an appointment! I know what you mean about not being ready to give up on your gametes yet - it is very hard when you don't know WHY you should give up.
If you ever want to talk more about that process, let me know. We ultimately decided it was time to be parents and that we'd worry about the "why" later. It still bothers me sometimes, but not as much as it used to...
Sounds like you have a LOT of good plans GL in the coming days with the PCT!
I am a runner, knitter, scientist, DE-IVF veteran, and stage III colon cancer survivor.
Oh Jesus what a WTF! I am so sorry you went through all of that. If I were you, I would seek another opinion. I am glad you have a consult with CCRM. I am not sure where in NJ you are but would you ever consider going somewhere on Long Island (NY)?
Hugs....

Wow, that is a lot of info! I know how those Cooper WTFs can be - my last one was also around 4 hours. That was really weird about the catheter issue - Cooper usually does AH so if rigid catherers were bad with AH why would they even use them at all? I remember the dr who did my transfer (Dr Brasille) had to switch catheters but I have no idea which one she actually used.
Anyway, I'm sorry you didn't get more conclusive answers. I hope your natural cycle works and you won't even have to worry about your next IVF!
Dx: High FSH, stage IV endo, homozygous C677T MTHFR and PAI-1

DE cycle #1 Jan/Feb 2011, BFP, ectopic
DE cycle #2 June/July 2011 - BFP

Wow, that was quite an appointment! Unknown IF sucks and I have a feeling that we're headed down that path; I have PCOS, but everything else is completely normal. Being told that there is no reason you shouldn't be getting pregnant and they don't know why you can't is probably one of the most frustrating statements that there is.
I wish you all the luck in the world with your next cycle and your consult with CCRM.

Re: wtf at my wtf!
Oh my gosh, my heart breaks for you. I cannot believe how much you have been through and the run around you got yesterday. I'm so sorry.
We have our WTF appointment next week for failed IVF #1 - we didn't even have any embies to transfer back - they never made it that far.
oh sweetie, i'm so sorry that happened. i hope you get some answers at your wtf. i'm around if you ever need to vent...just page me.
i read your blog and have a lot of questions:
1. did they ever test your amh or inhibin B? this is newer for testing how many good follicles you have left. Some people think the test is inaccurate but maybe worth a shot?
