NBR: Very Sad Day today

I'm really sad today! My parents just told me that they are putting our dog down.  She's a dalmation....she's very old.  She's been having a hard time walking because of hip problems and now won't even get up to go outside for potty.  She's been very sick.  I know it's what is best for her...so she's not in pain anymore...but I'm still very said.

DD is having a hard time with it too.  She's 4 and doesn't understand that Dolly won't be back after she goes to "Doggy Heaven with Jesus". Crying

    I'm so sorry.  I know how it feels to have a pet whois part of the family!   Many prayers for you as you grieve and help your DD too!

    Oh honey, I am so sorry.  I dread the day I have to put either of my fur babies to sleep!  I'd rather put a few humans down then have to lose one of my fur babies!  I know it's hard, but put out some really cute pics you have of her and keep them up year round.  You'll notice that after awhile you will look at the pics and smile, instead of cry!

    I am an animal lover and it is never easy to put down a beloved pet.  But you are right, atleast they are no longer in pain.
