Re: If you work outside the home...

  • if i get up early enough, i take a shower and get ready, feed DD and pump the other side (to get on a schedule to double pump)

if i don't get up early enough, DH feeds her a bottle. and i pump at work.

  • LO usually wakes up around 5-5:30AM so I breastfeed her then. Then I put her down to sleep some more while I take a shower, get dressed, make FI and my lunch and then pack her daycare bag. I feed her a little more at 7am or a lot more (depending on when she ate last) and then off we go to drop her off and then to work. It isn't always this smooth though. There have been times I have been late or all off schedule.

  • Well today was only my third day of work but so far it has worked that she sleeps, I get ready, eat breakfast, then I end up having to wake her up to get her dressed and changed, then I BF and then we pack up and go. So far it has worked great, but I know all mornings won't go this smoothly!
  • I don't BF, but I'll share our morning:  DD tends to wake up between 4 and 6.  DH gets up with her then so I can sleep (I do the mid-morning wake up).  She is back asleep by 5:30 when DH showers and then I'm up and going.  I pack a bag on Sunday night for her for the week that I take with us Monday to the sitter.  This saves me from having to remember to bring a bag every day, etc.  I've been back to work for a couple of weeks now and we seem to be on a routine.
  • She usually wakes between 5-6 so I feed her and put her back to bed, then I pump, shower, get ready, wake her up to get dressed, pack daycare bag - (milk, etc.) pack lunch & pump.
