Northside daycares

Can anyone recommend some daycares near the Lincoln Square area?  The only one that has been recommended to me is the one at Swedish Covenant Hospital.  Any others worth checking out?  Thanks for your help!

    We visited Ravenswood Community Child Care Center  (Damen and a little north of Lawrence) and Ravenswood Manor Day Care (California and Montrose).

    If you're interested at all in family care centers, I'd recommend calling Illinois Action for Children for some referrals.

    Thanks!  Someone else also suggested Ravenswood Manor daycare and Sunnyside Center.  I'll check out yelp and NPN too.

    Anyone having any luck finding a day care that doesnt have a 12+ month wait?  I mean good grief I have to go back to work in July or August and I am having zero luck so far finding any places that have a shorter wait.

    It all depends on your location and how much you want to spend.  We had a nanny for DS's first 10 months and then switched to a daycare.  We are still on some waitlists that I got on when pregnant.
